The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has been honoured with a Certificate of Commendation by the
Japanese Embassy in India, in recognition of its distinguished contribution to the enhancement of
mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and India.
i. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, Delhi Metro has received the Certificate of Commendation from
His Excellency, SUZUKI Hiroshi, Ambassador of Japan to India at a ceremony organized today at the
Japanese Embassy, New Delhi.
ii. This assumes importance as the year 2022 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of
Diplomatic Relations between Japan and India.
