The following table shows the number of students participated in Volley ball, cricket and other games in five different schools

1. What is the difference between the total number of students participated in volley ball from school A and D and the total number of students participated in cricket from school B and C?

Ans:4

Required difference = (140+288)-(224+200)=428-424=4

 

2. Find the total number of students participated in other games from all the schools

Ans:3

Required total = 252+288+320+288+240=1388

 

3. If a total student in school F is 20% more than the total number of students participated in cricket from schools E and C together, and then find the total students in school F

Ans:2

Total students in school F = (180+200)*120/100=456

 

4. What is the difference between the total number of students participated in volley ball and the total number of students participated in Cricket?

Ans:4

Required difference = (140+128+280+288+180)-(168+224+200+144+180)
=>1016-916=100

 

5. In which school has maximum students participated in other games?

6. Find the total number of students applied SBI PO exams in 2012 and 2016 together, if the total number of students applied in the year 2014 is 4500

Ans:3
Required total = 4500/15*100*(20/100*60/100+25/100*40/100)
=>30000*1/5*(3/5+2/4)
=>6000*(12+10)/20
=>6600

 

7. What is the ratio of the number of students applied IBPS PO exam in 2013 and 2015 together to the total number of students applied SBI PO exam in same years?

Ans:4
Required ratio = (25/100*25/100*x+30/100*15/100*x) : (75/100*25/100*x+70/100*15/100*x)
= 0.1075 x : 0.2925x
= 43: 117

 

8. What is the difference between the total number of students applied IBPS PO in the year 2013, 2014 and 2015 and the total number of students applied SBI PO in the same years, if the total number of students applied in the year 2012 is 4000?

Ans:1
Total students = 4000/20*100=20000
Required difference = 20000*{25/100*50/100+15/100*40/100}=20000*(1/8+3/50)
=>20000*37/200=3700

 

9. Number of students applied for SBI PO exam in 2016 is what percentage more/less than the number of students applied for IBPS PO exam in 2014?

Ans:5
Required percentage
=>{ (25/100*40/100)-(15/100*50/100)}/(15/100*50/100)*100
=>1/3*100=33.33%

 

10. In which year has maximum difference of the number of students applied for IBPS PO and SBI PO?

Ans:3
2012 = 20/100*20/100=0.04%
2013= 25/100*50/100=0.125%
2014=15/100*0=0%
2015=15/100*40/100=0.06%
2016= 25/100*20/100=0.05%
