Set – 1

Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H are living on eight different floors. Such that bottom-most floor is numbered as 1 and the floor above 1 is numbered as 2 and so on till the topmost floor is numbered as 8. D lives on an odd-numbered floor above the 4^th floor. Three persons are living between D and H. As many persons live between D and A as the persons who live between H and A. C lives three floors below A. Two persons are living between E and F, who doesn’t live on an odd-numbered floor. G doesn’t live on the top-most floor.

आठ व्यक्ति A, B, C, D, E, F, G और H आठ अलग-अलग मंजिलों पर रहते हैं। इस प्रकार सबसे नीचे वाली मंजिल की संख्या 1 और 1 से ऊपर की मंजिल की संख्या 2 है और इसी तरह सबसे ऊपरी मंजिल की संख्या 8 है। D चौथी मंजिल के ऊपर एक विषम संख्या वाली मंजिल पर रहता है। D और H के बीच तीन व्यक्ति रहते हैं। D और A के बीच जितने व्यक्ति रहते हैं उतने ही व्यक्ति H और A के बीच रहते हैं। C, A से तीन मंजिल नीचे रहता है। E और F के बीच दो व्यक्ति रहते हैं, जो विषम संख्या वाली मंजिल पर नहीं रहता है। G सबसे ऊपरी मंजिल पर नहीं रहता है।

Set – 2

Eight persons viz. J, K, L, M, N, O, P and Q are living in an eight storey building but not necessarily in the same order. The lowermost floor is numbered 1 and the floor immediately above it is numbered 2 and so on. Q lives on an odd-numbered floor. The number of floors below Q is the same as the number of floors above J who lives immediately above P. Only two persons live between P and M who lives two floors below K. L lives on an even-numbered floor. N lives immediately below L but not anywhere below O.
