Eight persons viz. Tanu, Kanu, Anu, Sinu, Cinu, Nanu, Binu and Manu are living on eight different floors of the same building such as the bottom-most floor is numbered as one and the top-most floor is numbered as eight, but not necessarily in the same order. Tanu lives on the fourth floor from the top. Only two persons are living between Tanu and Sinu. Binu lives on an even numbered floor immediately above Kanu. Only three persons are living between Kanu and Nanu. Anu lives adjacent to Nanu. Only four persons are living between Cinu and Anu. Manu lives on one of the floors below Binu.

आठ व्यक्ति अर्थात तनु, कनु, अनु, शिनु, सिनु, नानू, बीनू और मनु एक ही इमारत के आठ अलग-अलग मंजिलों पर रहते हैं जैसे कि सबसे नीचे की मंजिल की संख्या एक है और सबसे ऊपर की मंजिल की संख्या आठ है, लेकिन जरूरी नहीं कि इसी क्रम में हो। तनु ऊपर से चौथी मंजिल पर रहती है। तनु और शिनु के बीच केवल दो व्यक्ति रहते हैं। बीनू कनु के तत्काल ऊपर एक सम संख्या वाली मंजिल पर रहता है। कनु और नानू के बीच केवल तीन व्यक्ति रहते हैं। अनु नानू के आसन्न रहता है। सिनु और अनु के बीच केवल चार व्यक्ति रहते हैं। मनु बीनू के नीचे किसी एक मंजिल पर रहता है।

Ten persons E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, and N live on different floors of a ten-storey building, where the bottommost floor is 1 and the floor above it is 2 and so on. Five persons live between K and L, both are not living on the bottommost floor. Neither K nor L lives on an even-numbered floor. The number of persons living above J is as same as the number of persons living below F, who lives below J. Both J and F neither live adjacent to each other nor lives on any of the extreme floors. E lives immediately above I, who doesn’t live on the bottommost floor. At least two and at most five persons live between G and H. M lives above N. H lives adjacent to neither J nor K.
