Set – 11

Seven persons viz. P, Q, R, S, T, U and V are staying in a seven storey building, but not necessarily in the same order. Each of them is of a different profession viz. Doctor, Engineer, Lawyer, Police, Scientist, Student and Teacher. Not more than one person stays on the same floor. The lowermost floor is numbered as 1 and the floor immediately above it is numbered as 2 and so on. Q stays on an even-numbered floor and immediately below the one who is a Teacher. Only two floors are there between the one who is a Teacher and V, who is a Scientist. The number of floors above V is the same as the number of floors below the one who is the Police. T stays three floors away from the one who is the Police. S is a Student but doesn’t stay above Q. The number of floors between Q and S is the same as the number of floors between T and P. The one who is a Doctor stays on the topmost floor. R is not a Teacher whereas T is not an Engineer. The one who is a Lawyer doesn’t stay below U.

सात व्यक्ति अर्थात P, Q, R, S, T, U और V एक सात मंजिला इमारत में रहते हैं, लेकिन जरूरी नहीं कि इसी क्रम में हों। उनमें से प्रत्येक एक अलग पेशे का है अर्थात डॉक्टर, इंजीनियर, वकील, पुलिस, वैज्ञानिक, छात्र और शिक्षक। एक से अधिक व्यक्ति एक ही मंजिल पर नहीं रहते हैं। सबसे निचली मंजिल की संख्या 1 है और उसके तत्काल ऊपर की मंजिल की संख्या 2 है और इसी तरह आगे भी। Q एक सम संख्या वाली मंजिल पर रहता है और उस व्यक्ति के तत्काल नीचे रहता है जो शिक्षक है। वह जो शिक्षक है और V, जो वैज्ञानिक है, के बीच केवल दो मंजिल हैं। V के ऊपर मंजिलों की संख्या, पुलिस वाले व्यक्ति के नीचे मंजिलों की संख्या के समान है। T उस व्यक्ति से तीन मंजिल दूर रहता है जो पुलिस है। S एक छात्र है लेकिन Q के ऊपर नहीं रहता है। Q और S के बीच मंजिलों की संख्या T और P के बीच मंजिलों की संख्या के समान है। वह व्यक्ति जो डॉक्टर है वह सबसे ऊपर वाले मंजिल पर रहता है। R शिक्षक नहीं है जबकि T एक इंजीनियर नहीं है। वह व्यक्ति जो वकील है, U से नीचे नहीं रहता है।

Set – 12

Eight persons M, N, O, P, Q, R, S and T are living on an eight-floor building where the bottommost floor is numbered as one and the topmost floor is numbered as eight. Also they climb different number of stairs viz. 7,10,11,14,19,22,25 and 28 but not necessarily in the given order. The person who lives on the bottommost floor climbs a minimum number of stairs similarly the person who lives on the 2^nd floor climbs a second minimum number of stairs and so on. N climbs prime numbered stairs. T climbs three stairs more than N. R lives adjacent to T. At least three persons live between N and Q. M lives one of the floors above Q. P climbs more stairs than R. P does not climbs on odd-numbered stairs. M climbs at most two stairs less than O. S climbs three stairs more than O.
