📋Quick Overview
The Indian government has launched numerous schemes to support farmers through income support, crop insurance, credit, soil health management, and organic farming. The flagship scheme PM-KISAN (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) provides direct income support of Rs 6000/year to all landholding farmers. PM Fasal Bima Yojana provides crop insurance at subsidised premium rates. The Kisan Credit Card (KCC) provides affordable short-term credit to farmers. Soil Health Card Scheme helps farmers understand their soil's nutrient status. RKVY supports states for developing agriculture.
PM-KISAN: Rs 6000/year in 3 installments of Rs 2000 each (April-July, August-November, December-March). Launched: December 1, 2018 at Gorakhpur, UP by PM Modi. All landholding farmer families eligible. Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to bank account.
