📋Quick Overview

Bihar under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has launched several landmark welfare schemes. The 'Seven Nischay' (7 Resolves) and later Seven Nischay Part-2 programmes are comprehensive welfare initiatives targeting youth employment, rural roads, electricity, water, sanitation, and education for girls. Many of Bihar's schemes have been praised nationally and replicated in other states.

Mukhyamantri Cycle Yojana (Free bicycles to class 9 girls) was launched by Bihar and became a nationally famous scheme. It significantly increased girl enrollment in secondary schools and was later expanded to boys. Other states copied this model.
